If you believe that our program is aligned with your own wish to reach out to New York City kids in a powerful but simple way, please consider making a donation to My Own Book Fund.

The Freeman-Harrison Foundation pays all of the fund’s expenses. Your contribution goes 100% towards book purchases.

Contributions to the My Own Book Fund, a 501(c)(3) corporation, are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Every gift makes a difference:

$60 pays for one child’s participation in My Own Book
$1200 sponsors one third-grade class
$4000 to $6000 allows you to adopt a school in a neighborhood of your choice

Consider a Tribute Gift

Gifts to My Own Book Fund are a wonderful way to celebrate a special occasion by honoring or memorializing friends, family, and colleagues who care about reading and about leveling the playing field for all New York City’s children.

Please provide us with instructions if your donation to MOBF is made in honor or in memory of a specific person through a memo on your check or a note in the online donation form.
